Tom guides the overall strategy, vision, and culture of the company with a unique vantage point. As a former franchisee, he built a top organization that was used as the backbone infrastructure when Worldwide Express began its evolution to a direct-operating company in 2015. Over the last 20 years, his leadership and guidance have been instrumental in building career paths for the Worldwide Express team and strengthening the industry-leading relationships that WWEX maintains with its carrier partners. Tom has a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Virginia.
Guiding many strategic aspects of the organization, Rob has helped lead the company in its evolution from a franchise-based to direct-operating model and navigate the economic environment since joining management in 2008. Prior to joining corporate, he built several successful franchises and his experience in negotiating and closing acquisitions as well as work in capital financing made him the perfect guide for three successful private equity investments. Rob is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting and finance from the University of Richmond and an MBA from the University of Virginia.
As COO, Joel focuses on strategic infrastructure and continual improvement as the company expands through organic growth and acquisition. He led the company’s reorganization from franchise-based to a direct operating company which allowed WWEX to offer its customers a greater standard of service across all lines of business. Joel was previously an executive with CarrierDirect and a consultant with Accenture Strategy. He has a Bachelor of Arts in finance from Michigan State University where he graduated with honors and is a member of the MSU Broad School Advisory Board.
As CFO, Jack leads the company’s accounting and finance teams and is responsible for the company’s overall financial management, as well as its internal and external reporting functions. He has more than 30 years of financial, operational, strategic planning and M&A experience with both private equity-backed and public companies. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from New York University and an MBA in Finance from The George Washington University.
As CTO, Dolly has leadership of all aspects of the technical spectrum of the company including the technology roadmap, operations, and product development of a suite of nimble, robust and market-leading solutions. Prior to joining Worldwide Express, Dolly was a senior executive at Sabre and held a number of roles including leading large software development and delivery teams, global operations, engineering and product marketing. She holds a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
Executive Vice President
Focusing on the continued development and strengthening of Worldwide Express’ freight offerings, Mike oversees the company’s relationships with its world-class LTL carrier partners, managing their strategic needs, the introduction of new partners and yield management. Prior to joining corporate, Mike built several successful Worldwide Express franchises. He is a trusted resource in the transportation industry, frequently presenting on trends and insights at industry conferences. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from DePauw University and a Master of Arts from Georgia State University.
SVP of Marketing
With more than 30 years as a leader at UPS, Joe uses insight and experience to manage Worldwide Express’ strategic relationship as a UPS Authorized Reseller and guide WWEX marketing initiatives. Having directed UPS’ Asia Pacific region marketing group and held roles in customer technology marketing, product development and marketing research, Joe leads the strategy to drive awareness and demand for Worldwide Express services. He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (B.S.B.A.) and a Master of Arts in economics from Old Dominion University.
SVP of Revenue Management
Joe leads the Worldwide Express revenue management team where he is driving transformative change in the company’s capabilities to help grow revenue, improve business performance and create a new and improved customer experience. Joe has more than 20 years of experience in pricing, revenue management, and customer solutions within the transportation industry. He led teams at UPS (parcel) and UPS Forwarding, and has expertise in the LTL industry as he led pricing at UPS Freight LTL. He holds an MBA from Georgia State University and is a member of the Professional Pricing Society advisory board.
SVP of HR
As the SVP of HR, Shelly’s work as a business leader is centered around people and talent. Since joining the team, Shelly has been instrumental in building partnerships within the business and finding solutions to every day high growth challenges. Leveraging her talents and fostering team harmony, she works to preserve and capture the essence of the organization’s unique culture, building an employee experience strategy that aligns with that culture and executing programs that bring vision to life. Prior to joining the team, Shelly led functional areas of HR for RealPage, including talent acquisition, employee benefits and M&A integration. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Texas State University.
As General Counsel, Charlene leads the legal team and oversees all legal matters for the company, including compliance, franchising, corporate governance, acquisitions, employment practices, contract management, intellectual property, insurance, 3PL brokerage and freight. Prior to joining the team in 2017, she was a partner with an AmLaw 100 law firm and acted as WWEX outside counsel for more than 10 years. Charlene has been a frequent speaker and written on numerous topics for the International Franchise Association and American Bar Association. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Trinity University and a Juris Doctor from Baylor University.
SVP of Sales
As SVP of Sales, Brian heads hundreds of professionals composing the industry-leading Worldwide Express sales organization. Brian has dedicated the entirety of his career to WWEX, beginning in a sales role at a franchise where he won multiple national awards before leading it to 500% growth. Bringing unparalleled leadership to the executive team, Brian’s focus on strong customer relationships and innovation pushes WWEX to new heights. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Messiah University.
SVP of Commercial Services - Truckload
As SVP of Commercial Services - Truckload, JJ leads the company’s integrated truckload service offering and drives efficiency and best practices within the division’s growth, customer success and procurement functional operating groups. He has spent his entire career in the logistics and supply chain industry and has held leadership roles in sales and front office operations, with deep experience in procurement, operations and account management. His first 13 years in the industry were with Circle 8 Logistics, where he helped grow the company into a $150+ million business prior to its acquisition by GlobalTranz. JJ holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa.
SVP of Commercial Sales
Ross leads the enterprise sales organization as well as the design and delivery of innovative and customized supply chain solutions that drive efficiency, cost savings and competitive advantages for current and prospective customers. With over 20 years of experience in the supply chain and logistics industry, Ross has developed and grown sales and operations teams specializing in best-in-class service execution of LTL, TL, expedite, supply chain management, projects and heavy haul, white glove and managed transportation service lines. Ross holds a Business Management degree with a finance/accounting emphasis from Saint John’s University.
SVP of Agent Channel
As SVP of the GlobalTranz Agent Channel, Mike leads the company’s agent support teams and is responsible for the growth, training, development and recruitment strategy of the company’s freight agent network. He has more than 20 years of experience in sales, business development, training, recruiting and onboarding for companies with agent-centric business models. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in business management from University of Phoenix and is bilingual in English and Portuguese.
SVP of Franchise Development
As the SVP of Franchise Development, Dustin is responsible for leading, supporting and growing the Unishippers franchise sales channel. He is a WWEX blue blood, having spent his entire professional career with the organization starting as a 22-year-old, entry-level Worldwide Express salesperson before taking on roles with increasing responsibilities covering sales, training, and business, commercial and franchise development. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
